Soil Food Web Compost Workshop

  • Patti's Place At Laurel Grove Wine Farm 3178 Laurel Grove Road Winchester, VA, 22602 United States (map)

Join us at Laurel Grove Wine Farm for a 3-hour composting intensive. Unleash the nutrient potential of your soil through microorganisms.

Investing in compost will pay dividends!

Soil life makes soil nutrients plant available - thereby making microbially complete compost the key to reducing-off site inputs on your farm and market garden. Your garden crops and farm meats will be more nutritious; Compost teas from microbially complete compost create biofilms which protect crops from disease; Increased photosynthetic capacity as a result of soil biology creates plants that are so healthy they are undigestible to pests; AND best of all you don’t need a HAZMAT suit at any point to apply compost or compost teas.

Join us for a three-hour workshop to learn about all things compost. We will discuss the different types of compost and how they work, helping you decide what option is best for you. Then, we will get our hands VERY dirty with a demonstration of thermophilic composting to create biologically rich compost. If you’ve been dying to learn how to make that magical microorganism packed compost, this workshop is for you!

You will get DIRTY.
